Hi,
I disassembled my 95 mw viper and was expecting a normal looking diode inside but its not. does anyone know what sort of diodes DL vipers use and what are they called?

They use a 'B-Mount' diode, it's a smaller brother to C-Mount diodes.

Are you sure it's Bmounts, Proto?
We're talking Viper here, it's 2x AAA pen, not the 1x CR2 pen they also have which uses a B-mount.

Not sure myself, though.

Can somebody check up on it?

Shift focus to the element in the background, that's where the diode is. You have taken a picture of the beam expander after the crystal set. The component in the background is the diode, I think.

your kidding?
just assuring you that its a B mount diode
My kidding ?

I was saying that you have taken a picture of the wrong element.

You are the one that asked which diode that is, not me. Just trying to help. Learn in the process too.

Since I never opened a CNI GLP series laser before, to me it's a blurry out of focus object in the picture.

Kind of implies. If you wanted to point that out, then take a picture of that, not the object unrelated to discussion.

It is definitely a B-mount.
Every CNI GLP I have disassembled uses a B-mount.
