No, I mean the brass top on the laser module you'd be putting in your host. Some can unscrew, revealing the lens attached to the laser optics, not the focusing lens. I believe you might need to remove the lens on the very front of the green laser module for it to work with the focusing mechanism on the host.

For example, in the photo below, the lens on the top left unscrews from the part on the right. On the bottom you can see the exposed white lens that looks like the one in your current host.



Some modules, like the ones posted in my first post's photos don't unscrew in that manner, but the Lazerer module looks like it does and it comes from their site.

i see what you talking about, the only way to find out more about my laser i have to take it out of the host first and then ill be able to know more. thanks for the picture.

Any suggestions on how I should take out the module from the host ?

im looking for pliers to take the module out but can't seen to find them......

i tried rotating the module anti-clockwise but it wont budge. i gripped it really hard but it just wont move a mm. are you sure that thing should come out????........ its rock solid

If you don't mind killing that module you can take a lighter to the host as it might be glued in. The heat will weaken the glue (if there is any). Only do that though if you are willing to most likely kill that module.

Yes thats a good idea... i want to try to save the module and take it out from the back with the screw driver and hammer technique. if that doesn't work then ill try your idea.

You can try seeing if you can push it out the front back via the battery section. Try to not crush the circuitboard, but instead push on the back of the brass if possible.
