I was wondering if there's any way to decrease the divergence on my viper 95mw, like adjusting the lens or something, because the dot is way bigger than my DX laser over a distance. If so, is there someone i can send it to, to do it for me?

It all depends on lens alignment and initial beam specs. You can use a pair of lenses to narrow the focus, but you'll never have a 0* divergence also if you want the beam narrow up-close, it will be huge in the distance, while if you want it narrow in the distance it'll be huge up close (focal length) IT depends on what you want to do with it, really, if you want to use it for burning you want a really short focal length, which will produce a large dot in teh distance, and if you want it for pointing at a distance, it wont burn with ****, so...

You could fix it by using a beam expander or a simple monocular or a finder scope from a telescope, something with about 10x magnification. Just shine the laser through the business end of the ocular and you will get a very tight beam. Just make sure the focus of the scope is focused to infinity. I did this with mine last night and the spot was so tiny that it seemed to go forever.

I've a *Alpha 105. The beam divergence was not to my liking so over this weekend a adjusted the collimating lens. Prior to the adjustment I used a building approximately 15000 feet distance from me for reference, I could see a spot of light , but now after the adjustment the spot is a bit more noticeable. I can see this spot of light without visual aid.

well, i was wondering if there was any way to adjust the divergence without adding on anything, but instead taking it apart and adjusting the lens or something. unless the big dot is a characteristic of the my CNI laser? the beam diameter at aperture seems to be in spec.(1.2mm?)
