OK Guys:
I know there is a lot of info here about this company's products, both good and bad reviews. I know that SenKat likes these lasers and I would appreciate his input here as well.
What is the absolute bottom line on this under $30.00 laser? I read that this model is probably the most stable and problem free of the bunch. True? My main concern is safety. Most of the site reviews say no IR filter. Also true? I am mainly looking for star pointing. My Core is very nice but I'd like a more visable beam. Your wisdom is welcome. Thanks! :)

I think dx 30 is an excellent choice if you don't want to spend to much money, and still get a GOOD laser! It should be brighter at night than the core, since I own one and I think its really cool, if you point it straight up in the sky at night you can even see the spot in the end of the beam, is it touching the clouds? :p It can even burn and pop baloons and stuff. From what I've heard it got an IR filter

Both of the ones I purchased are stable and emit a bright beam. I did add an IR filter that I purchased from Novalasers just in case IR was an issue (which I can't confirm until my power meter arrives). Even with the IR filter, it can pop balloons at close distance and "dent" the foam casing in which it is stored. IMHO, I think the price is very reasonable per wattage produced.
