"Cute" Green Laser Question

H I just received my <50mW Lazerer Mini and I love it.

The only problem is, it is advertised as focusable, yet the host does not focus. The customer service rep said to twist the head with two pliers, but all that has done is mark up the host

Any suggestions?

The laser doesn't focus at the very tip. The focuser is a little further down it looks a little darker and has a different feel to it. you can see it in the picture.

The knurled portion of the head should spin, allowing you to adjust focus.

If you twist the top portion counter clockwise you should be able to take off the top of the laser to see what's preventing it from turning.

I'd take some pictures for you, but I don't have the host on hand at the moment.

Put something between the pliers and the host so you don't scratch it up...

Alas, i have tried everything I can think of. the only thing that happens is the business end of the laser comes unscrewed. The guy says it might be stuck, but if thats the case... it must be stuck pretty good
