hi!
last time, i connected my cheap ebay laser to my powersupply and i found out, that they can stand much more that 3V:
cheap 532nm green ebay laser 4,1 volts - YouTube
so i did some workaround with a classic altoids box and this is what came out:

as a powersupply i use a standard 18650 li-ion battery and i simply used the whole module from the cheap pointer, so i didn't have to do a lot, just look, that it fits into the box :)

since this was my first project, it doens't look very nice, but it works :)

don't worry, i already put some electrical tape at the parts of the box, where the battery could short

I have the same module from a laserpen and I tried with 18650 battery and works perfect. Thanks for the tip.

With 2 AAA batteries consumes 200ma, and with 18650 consumes 355ma
