Even if it is broken down into 3 parts still think it would get cuaght up in customs? Would hate to loose out on 700 bucks

Ask your rep person if they will guarentee delivery.

If it's from CNI direct and not a 3rd party rep, CNI will not. Meaning will not ship another package in the event the first package is never received. The risk of loss is yours not theirs.

I have thought about just ordering the 800mw module from them but I would have to find a host and everything to build it in and I am not very familiar with 532 modules at all. I have build a few direct diodes before but never this.

The module will cost the same as the whole CNI laser.

You are much better off with JetLasers 800mw ( typically more like 900mw to 1W) so is still minimum 800mw after much use ---longer duty cycle, better host, and much better focusing mechanism, can run on 26650 or 18650 or ac adapter--- beam expander available, less shipping cost , 3 day delivery, replacement if not delivered etc.

Yep, I've got to agree with Encap, Jetlasers is the way to go on this one!
The customer support, delivery times, and laser replacement, make this a no brainer IMO. :)

What about the price range on the jet lasers? Is it comparable to the 600usd quote I received from CNI?

Or does anyone know when another group buy for jet lasers is going to happen? So that I could get a better deal.

You can build your own, but really high power 532's are not on the easy to build list. I've built a 445, 532 and had the parts for a 635 (killed it D:) I live where anything over 1mW is classified as a weapon, so I still think you guys in the US have it easy. :p

I love your signature. (sorry for off-topicness)

as mentioned before --- see: 100mW TO 800MW PL-E Pro 532nm Green Lasers Regular retail price $739.00

Email Gray at JetLasers jetlasers@gmail.com tell him you ae a LPF member and ask best price for PL-E Pro 532nm 800mw---simple . He will probably give you same discount as if there was a group buy.

Shiiping is only half as much as the $80 which is an absurdly high shipping charge so... up to you to figure what a couple of dollars is worth for really a better laser with better customer service.

Probably a JetLasers 600mw or 700mw will hit the 800mw mark easily--their lasers are always over spec so that after degradation over time they remain at full original spec---in these cases cost is 600mw $529 and 700 mw $639.

Thanks, your avatar pic is 8/8 m8

Back on topic, 520 will be more stable than than 532, simpler and probably cheaper, but you have to give up that sweet dpss beam quality.

On the note of brightness 532 would be it right? due to being closer to 555nm. This choice is hard.

By the way going with jet lasers now for this awesome purchase. Now to decide on 520 or 532nm.
