Cheap Legal 30mW

Hey, I want to get a 30mW for under 100$. I want to get the most powerful laser I can without safety glasses, and I've heard 30mW is the limit. It doesn't have to burn anything, I'm just pointing it around at night and using effects like liquid sky. Anyway, I live in the USA, so I don't want to get in trouble for it. I've heard DX is good, but doesn't use IR filters. Would it be worth it to get a DX and IR filter from Nova? Thanks.

How much do you value your eyesight? If you dont want to live the rest of your life with a blind spot, (possibly of coarse) get safety goggles. They don't need to be expensive, (like the $70 dollar ones my dad bought, lol) if you need it to be legal, just get a legal laser from NOVA, LaserGlow, or Optotronics, none of the lasers at DX are legal, even if you add an IR filter. It will cost more then $100, believe me. You would not get into trouble for possessing a non FDA certified laser, just importing it. You will, however, get into trouble for using it irresponsibly, and no amount of safety features and FDA approval will prevent that.

There been some discussion about those Army surplus safety goggles, WL shades are a good alternative.

The limit is 5mW, this is if you plan on shining it in peoples eyes of course. :
I think that the Nova is the best. They have lots of different safety features (that you can buy).

DX won't ship anything over 5 mW to the USA so scratch DX of your list.

Yes, Nova does look good. ;D But it's so expensive, I thing I'll just make a bluray or red instead. Thanks anyway.
