Changing Laser Module

Hey guys, sorry for the noob question but i really want to know before i go out and spend wasteful money..
If i purchase a cheap 5mw green laser of ebay and then i purchase a stronger green module (50mw) and swap it with the one in the 5mw laser pointer, would i now have a powerful 50mw green laser pointer?
