Can anyone reccomend a true less than 5mW green?

I'm looking for a cheap green that's not over-spec in it's 523nm power output, and that's reasonable quality overall. Preferably for less than $15. Can anyone recommend me one?

You can try the wicked lasers core, but it's out of your price range. You can also turn down the pot on a cheap laser if you want.

I didn't know you could also "down-mod" cheapies. Very interesting!

Yeah, no problem. It may be hard to access the pot on some lasers, you have to disassemble the dx lasers and remove the module to change it.

Are you saying that the DX lasers may be a little more difficult to mod than others? Any idea if the ledshoppe 5mw might be better in this respect?

Choose LEDShoppe's 5mW Greenie... It's one of the best of all the cheapies!
