So I live in NZ and I had already bought this laser and I had it for about 2 hours and the wires came off... I am wondering where I can get an easier to use/build ~200mw green laser... In NZ you can't buy anything over 1mw and so as far as I know ordering a fully finished laser is out of the question as I am sure it will get me in trouble from customs... If anyone can help me that would be great...

I also had another laser where the first one's pot was faulty and the replacement ended up fried when the cable slipped off the spring and onto the board...

Yet again any help would be greatly appreciated and yes I already have protective glasses as I got them when I got the 200mw one...

Hi from another Kiwi :)

im sorry.. what ? you cant buy anything over 1mW in NZ ? thats rubbish. we currently have no import restriction laws .. this WILL be changing soon though, but dont ask me how i know that.

PLEASE DONT BUY TRADEME SPEC LASERS - they are junk !! heavily underspec

I can almost guarantee that DX Module wont be putting out anywhere near close to 200mW of IR filtered 532 ...

you can import a laser of 200mW .. no trouble. i have an o-like greenie putting out about 280mW IR filtered ( i have a LPM (laser power meter)) and can confirm output etc which i might be interested in selling.

check out Welcome to O-like,the source of good quality laser products at unbeatable price and perfect service ! - Susie is happy to ship to NZ and ive never had any problems bringing in lasers to NZ, in the range of up to 3 watts.

Let me know if i can help at all :)
