Broken x-100?

I have had my x-100 for a while, and a while ago I did something to it and the beam is kind of scattered. While there is still a dot and beam, both of which are nice and bright, around the dot there is a significant amount of clutter. It can burn a lot of things still, but it doesn't light matches (which it had trouble doing from the start anyways). I remember twisting the front end once (the part that your not supposed to twist) and the laser stayed in the on position because the button was stuck under the casing. However I honestly can't remember if the problem started after this, I don't know when it started.

Attached are some pictures of the laser... well sorta. My stupid camera has an auto adjusting light function I couldn't turn it off for the life of me. I even found the stupid light settings but it wouldn't turn off. So, the pics don't exactly have all the scattered laser stuff that I wanted to post, but I'll post it anyways. That first one is the only good one, if you look at it from a good angle you can see the green scattered stuff but its not NEARLY as bright as in real life... I'm going to murder that stupid camera. If I ever figure it out I'll post better ones.

lol, I guess I never stated why I'm posting this ::). Does anyone know whats wrong with it? Also, Nova has an "out of warranty repair service" but I'm scared to use it because my laser is not FDA approved :-/

Hm, can I send it back for repairs with that stupid law in effect? Huh, I gues Nova would be the best one to ask that. But I can ask how much you guys think that would be to repair. Would it be too much money to invest in something that's $200?
