Well so I had my laser in my hand and i dropped it, now it won't work and makes a rattling noise. I would very much appreciate if I got some help or even insight in this problem.

We need to know what laser it is. If it is a green laser you could have broken off the crystals. You need to open the laser anyway to look at the problem.

Well as I am new to this stuff, I'm afraid I do not know what laser it is. Also how do I open it then.
It's a green star laser pointer, thats all I know.

Could a lot of things...

Is there any light at all? Even 808nm IR is visible as a very dim red... Don't burn your eyes. That would be the case if a crystal got knocked out. If you shifted the unit or something when you dropped it the button should feel weird, there may be contact issues with the spring, etc. If it is possible to take the kaleidoscope off the front of the laser it might help. Also, pics would help

EDIT: Never shine any laser into your eye, even if it's IR. IR will still kill your eyes. Point it at a wall or something.

Well sometimes there is light but is distorted and looks as if it was shining through like a crystal so yeahhhh.

Hmm then yeah could be that you knocked off the KTP crystal. It could also be some other optics you knocked out of place, but I'm going to say you're going to need to take it apart. See your other thread

EDIT: And then you can say what you wanted to in here, instead of a new post :)
