If you have the money in your ama gift card, try it out! Worth thing that can happen is that it arrives broken. But cou can fill out a RMA just in case.

I would say 95% that it is working fine, with an output power between 50-80mW.

Okay, thanks for all your help guys. I will get this laser with my amazon gift card money and when it arrives in two weeks I will update in this thread.

Edit - Ordered today, Febuary 3rd 8pm.

Thats a good choice. I bought a few of those on ebay. I think they call them the military type lasers. They seem quite powerful and when focused properly will light a match easily. The problem I have had with mine though is that they only last for a week or so before they go weak on you. That's with a conservative duty cycle of around 15 or less seconds on and one minute off. I think they are using over driven cheap 808nm diodes in them.
