Dear laser community,

I own a red laser bought from Dealextreme when they still sold them. I know they are cheap and not what they advertise but I really like it. It was sold as a 200mw one, forgot what nm. It can be focused and burn pretty well etc.

Now I also had a cheap green one (I think 5-15 mw+-) and it broke down.

This time I want to buy a proper green laser. The most important things for me are beam visibility and range. I read something about the 532nm has the best visibility? not sure. I have just done a quick search on this forum and didn't really find an info topic.

I hope you guys can help me with this. My budget is around 40-60$ and I hope it will be enough.

:thanks:

LOL! the title. Nevermind :p
you could get one from ledshoppe. 50 mw will provide you a visible beam and is pretty cheap too.

I am 21 years old and have a great responsibility.

I came across 150mW Green Laser Pointer Pen Black - Free Shipping but this seems like one that could also be 50mw and just advertised 150mw

green laser pointers have been very long in the market. i am not sure what's considered a reasonable price at this very moment. sorry. the ledshoppe option is a good deal. i own this pointer years now. it went dim after 3 years i think. i really like it.
i dont question your responsibility, but our job(among others) is to constantly remind everyone how valuable their eyesight is :) if you have goggles or not, that's your responsibility.

Hmm it seems that LZTN - 532nm 150mW Smallest Green Laser Pointer is a little bit to small for 150mw. Others have larger heads for cooling would this be a problem on this one?
Thanks
Looking at the size of that, It could still be 150mW, But it'll have a crappy duty cycle. Probably no more than 30 seconds - 1 minute on, 1 minute off. it pulls 450mA which is quite alot. So I reckon it's most likely on spec.
