i want a low cost green laser for pointing, it only needs to be bright enough to be seen in a dark room or at night, which i assume to be around 5-10 mw. if it isn't please correct me and direct me to a good pointer for the cost. it would be nice if it used AA or AAA, but 18650 would be ok, as my flashlight uses that and i have plenty. i have looked at o-like but i only want bright enough to see the beam at night.

an ebay "5mw" laser will be bright but most of the time they are over spec, you'll see the beam for sure but depending on the power you may even need goggles o_O

i like the idea of an american seller, i prefer to overpay to an american than anybody else, but i don't want anything over 10-15mw, i want something that wont require goggles, as diffused reflections could hit eyes, but it would be nothing direct. if the host is a standard cheapie green i am fine with that, i just want one with quality control, because the last i had died in 2 hours with a duty cycle of about 30/120 seconds. i really was in the market for about 15-20 dollars, i see about 40 dollars better put towards a fiio headphone amp/DAC.

i think i have decided on the lazerer 30mw tiny greenie.it uses a 10440 which isnt a problem for me, it's small and rather powerful. if i will be using it inside where reflections are possible i would either put in a AAA battery and see if it will power on or i will get here which should block all of the green, as i have heard
