Well I just came to realize that the spyder three krypton for $250 is only 300mw and not a thousand and the 1000mw version is $1000 which is way way to much for me. Can you recommend me a 1w green laser from another company that is of quality and up to spec? Thanks

I hate to tell you but its not all that over priced, 1w dpps laser is $$$. Anything over say 300mw in a dpss laser gets pricey very quick. For the sake of asking, why do you want a 1W green laser, I mean other than the holy crap factor.

1000 is not a bad price for 1w of green. Also the Spyder 1W will probably not be 1W it is most likely underspec.

Fixed that for you :)

I had the chance to LPM two kraptons so far. One was the 1500mW version, one the 500mW version.

The 1.5W was a total fail only peaking at ~290mW. The 500mW version did a little better hitting a whopping 320mW.

Yeah that's what I figured green lasers are really expensive... What about a quality 1w-1.2w those only seem to be around 150-$200 maybe I should just get the arctic 1000mw do all of their lasers seem to very underspec?

You mean the arctic 700mw? I don't think they make any 1W lasers.

No green laser under $1000 is going to make 1W in a handheld version. The rest are a lie about the power.

What about the spyder arctic is it truly 1000mw of blue? It's not all that hard to get to 1000mw of blue and some pens on lazerer I saw were around $160.

Most spyders measure about 700mw of blue not 1W.

Well that's crap an overpriced cool looking laser that's underspec looks like I'm going with a on spec 1w or 1.2w from lazerer or somewhere. Recommend me one that is actually at least 1w? From a good company.

Just get a lazerer Rifle V2 and request a LPM chart.

Don't forget the goggles.

Or just make your own.

Have a look at what JetLasers has to offer- they actually care about their products--the make a high quality continous duty product second to none and all are on or above spec power wize + they have the best customer service, also. ━═☆ Jetlasers Deals of PL-E laser pointers, Titanium handheld lasers, PL-D Pro code switch laser and dazzlers at JETLASERS.ORG - jetlasers

You can get a really nice PL-E 1.5w-1.7W 445 fixed focus for about the same money as an Arctic.

They also offer make different powers of 532nm green--all IR filtered--at reasonable prices for what you get.

Another chioce would be a O-Like 500mw 532nm without any IR filter for less than an Arctic---if you have to have green.
Powerful Crown upgrade 500mW green laser torch/waterproof [OL-532-500] - $274.99 : Zen Cart!, The Art of E-commerce

If it were me I would go with the JetLasers 1.5 W which is a lot of laser for the money--you have to be very careful/cautious and use protective goggle with that much power
