So I was just wondering if someone could post some night shots of their 150 mW optotronics green laser pointer? Also could you tell me how you like it?

Thanks!

Well I don't have a night shot as of yet but I do have these: Beam comparrision of the 150mW vs the 50mW. The 150 is the black laser. Notice the reflection of the two lasers, the 50mW barely has a reflection.

And one with some match smoke in the room.

Thank you so much for those shots! I am really thrilled to receive my new Optotronics 150 mW pen. Thanks so much again! You made me have faith in my purchase!

One question, is the beam on the 150 mW laser clearly visible in the day?

Thanks!

Well it is in the house. It is even hard to see the neam of my 450mW green in the day outside. These lasers don't look too bright in the daytime, however you can see the spot really well.

Hello

I would like to buy and afterthat to remove the module of an 150 mw Optotronic premium but I have a few questions.
I guess that the silver end has the lens or just one lens I don't know....
how it look this module when is tale it apart because are difrent styles of pointers and I try to imagine ....and what is the length of the module with all with silver end only if need it and with all with microdriver.?

ur freekin crazy lol.
im jk, it looks to me like the silver ends were pressed on and there is no way ur gonna pry them off. there is no lens in the silver, just in the end of the actual laser module it. what did u wanna use it 4, or where did u wanna put it?

The reflection thing actually makes a lot of sense. Ceiling bounce is really the only way to see the power difference between lasers. The divergence isn't a factor, and the "4x power=2x visibility" thing doesn't apply.

I need it to build something like a futuristic scaner to wear on the eyes like a night vision with a beam in front.
Anyhow I don't need all length of the pen ..I need just the module ..

CushCush:

I have a 5mw green that looks almost exactly like the 150 Emc2 posted a pic of.

It had problems and I needed to disassemble it but it doesn't unscrew and it's a VERY tight press fit. It messed up the finish pretty good taking it apart.

If you want to shorten the body and make your own battery pack it would be pretty simple. If you just unscrew the middle it will be half the length and you could even shorten it another 1/2 inch with a pipe cutter(or hacksaw) if you need to. Then it would be about 2 inches long and you could wire it up to a seperate battery pack.
