Hi guys, I am going to purchase a NOVA green laser X75, and I want to know what batteries I should get for it. I don't know the voltage, brand, or size that is recommended for this laser. Please help! Thanks. :D

The polite answer is AAA e2 lithiums if you want the most power, could make a significant difference with a 75mw as far as burning goes. For ultra economy, use rechargeables. Alkalines are OK for general purposes.

The impolite answer of course, is UTFSE, but I gots too much etiquette for that.

The FAQ recommends Sanyo Eneloop Ni-MHs.

I am using Varta and Duracell 1000mAh Ni-MHs, and i have a feeling the Vartas are a little better. I did not notice any increase in power on my meter, when i put in two 1.8V batteries, and the current remained the same - 0.65A, so it would seem these lasers have some kind of regulation. If it really is regulated, the only difference between the batteries is going to be in how long the laser can remain in regulation on them.

I'm still not done testing, but i think you would get pretty much the best out of high capacity good quality Ni-MHs.

In an email I received today from Nova Lasers, they are recommending to use Duracell PowerPix batteries, at-least this is their recommendation for the X-175.
