Hi

I just received my new 150mw module from laserlands and after powering it up im not sure its 150mw. i dont have a power meter. It does burn electrical tape slowly but cannot ignite a match. Beam is visible in low light areas.

But more so after it warms up the beam splits. after about 5 - 20 sec depending on if i have been using the laser. takes only about 5 secs to transform from normal to split. Look at attached image for illistration.

Is this a focus/lens issue or a problem within the laser?

Thanks

Not a focus/lens issue. Sounds thermal, it's mode hopping. But could be a power supply issue. What are you using to power it?

i removed the glue seen holding the focus lens and played around with it abit. seems the beem stays tighter now, however beam isnt as strong. think the batteries are going flat. gonna wait for my host and 18650 to arrive in the next week or two then i'll do a review.

If the problem doesn't get fixed, contact Laserlands and maybe they'll offer you a new one.
