So I just purchased this nifty little thing

and I am wondering if it is atall possible to turn it into a device that can " cut" say through a piece of paper....

if not I have a bagillion other uses for it so it is not a big deal at all

( if this is a post redo sorry my computer is being wackey)

I sure don't claim to know all, but I really think it is not going to burn paper! I think you start to burn paper at about 260 mW, that unit could go to ~15 or 30 mW MAX!  LOL!

Yeah I've bought several of those modules. Most are crap, but I use the optics. And I've noticed, that the pens ARE NOT the same. If you look down the barrel, you will see the brass fittings for the lenses are completely different. My 5mW pens are defiantly over powered as they produce slight heat and burn very thin black plastic, and the modules do not whatsoever.
