anyone got an o like 400mw ?

hi just had a look at these does anyone have one if so are they any good?

I heard bad news from theese. Somone said they dont even reach 400mw. They only go up to 50 - 80mw. i would suggest to buy a better one.

Where did you hear that?
I had one of her bargain, non IR filtered 500mW models. It may not have been 500mW but it was close. It was great deal on quality laser.

Paying for a 400 and getting 100mW or less is what happens when you buy from DX or focalprice. If you bought it from Susie and it was that far under spec, she would take care of it.

I have their 500mW version. I dont have my laserbee yet to test it, but it seemed pretty damn powerful before i messed it up lol. actually i'll be posting a repair thread about it soon, think i just need to replace a lense.

It's a very decent deal. Possibly the best mW/$ ratio laser in the high powered tier.

So tempted to order from O-Like, but I keep thinking about it being confiscated by customs.

Don't worry about it. I have not heard about any of her lasers not getting through.
In fact if you tell her your worried she might insist on having the laser and battery cap shipped separately. Don't do this, as it will cause you much hardship. Those battery caps have a tendency to show up sometimes weeks later, if at all. Just do it, you wont be disappointed.

I have a 600mW 532nm laser from RAYFOSS, & it works fine. Also, it actually peaks at slightly OVER 600mW's, & averages over 550mW's

Out of large curiosity, what is the divergence like on the Rayfoss 600mW?

Anyways, to the poster, I would probably have to tell you "NO" to the O-like 400mW.

I bought a 400mW module from O-like. It would output over 400mW, but the output was everywhere. And I mean everywhere. It would walk from 200mW to 450mW. Not very stable. Unfortunately, that wasn't the bad thing. The bad thing was the beam. Horrible divergence. I sat on my deck beaming a hillside at 500 yards while adjusting the focal lens, and I want to say the best it could do is over 2mRad, probably 2.5mRad, but I'm guessing. My 200mW pen module from O-like had a better beam, and the dot on that smaller module could be seen much further away on trees than their 400mW could because of the difference in divergence.

I would probably say that the 200mW models from O-like are about the best quality beam for the money that they sell.

My 400mW module is heading back, because it crapped out. Output went down into the upper 100mW range. I'm not sure that I will be asking for a direct replacement. I think I will swap it for something else from them.

wow..... can you write a rev of your laser? i've never seen a review of your model.. it seems to me one of the most powerfull laser avaible....:gun:

Wavelengh 532nm Power Output >600mW Average ~ 550mWs. Divergence <1.4mrad at aperture Voltage DC=4.2V
