1. Cut off the end of the laser with big scissors, limb cutter, etc
2. take a screwdriver. etc and bang it into the section with the button!
it should come out or *fly* out

The module should press out.

Why not just leave the battery cover behind and tape the button down?

dx will ship a 5mw to the usa
if you buy the new wish cr2 powered one from dx, you can easily remove the module. no banging or damaging it.

that is after removing the tube on mine. that outer ring can be screwed out, then the module simply falls out.

if you have a pen style, good luck getting the module out. there should be plenty of tutorials on that though

it was just demonstrational video... driver will come out with module.. but the best solution was mentioned above... just remove the battery section and tape the button down or whatever....
