I'm a girl.

I've had many cores, and they are by far the best low powered pointer I've ever had. They run awesome off rechargeables, and they'll last for weeks of playing around until you need to recharge. Don't care much for Wicked's other products but the Core is definitely worth what they charge.

I'd support buying a core over a random ebay pen anyday. Cores are great lasers. Plus they are actually <5mW.

Thank you things for making that known, I have only 3 lasers from WL and all are of the SPYDER III type and not a one of them come close to there ratings so it's good to hear there is one option to get your moneys worth from them.

Yeah I was having a bad day. My own mother forgot my birthday, and literally two people acknowledged it. I was feeling pretty awful the whole day until my wife bought me the nano and the core, and then it was all "WL is terrible, bla bla bla" and I'm like really? LPF people hating on something they aren't dealing with?

Sorry, but honestly, feeling THAT rejected on my birthday made me so upset. I didn't care about presents, just to be wished a happy birthday and only at the ennd of the day did anyone other than my wife say anything. It hurt me deeply.

I see it as if it's the product that you like, at some price your willing to pay, it's a fair deal. She knows the pro's and con's of buying the laser and has chosen to do so. Congrats on your new lasers. Will be a good addition.

Said multiple times that you could be happy with WL all you want, doesnt change my opinions on WL or others experiences

The negative rep was for referring to me as a "he" when I'm a transgender woman; what you said was ignorant and transphobic. So thanks for that. Your opinion is as you say, your opinion. WL used to sell and not ship those lasers. I have had no problems with them, and I think you're going on old data on their organization. They screwed up in 2010. It has been three years, and they've changed. I feel that it isn't the mistake a person makes, but what they do to correct that mistake that defines them.

They promised Arctics to loads of people, shipped underspec Arctics or none at all due to the high volume of orders, and basically they bit off more than they could chew with the deliveries, but never really made up for it with the people they wronged.

They weren't that much better in 2012... although I do have to say, once broken its difficult to re-earn the reputation and trust.

Aside from that, I don't see much negative reviews about WL recently... so I see no reason why we should avoid them like the plague, other than their pricing. The LED museum just reviewed a couple of WL products, both very positive...

If you ask one of their reps for a discount, they'll give you one. I did and they gave me 10% off everything. When it comes to the 750mW Krypton, that's like $100 off, dude. Their lasers are probably so expensive because they want to avoid selling to children, and while they could be more responsible in saying "This is a laser. Lasers are DANGEROUS." instead of "HEY WE SELL LIGHTSABERS!" well, anyone who blinds themselves with a laser because they don't know the risks and how to use one safely doesn't deserve their eyesight in the first place.

Wicked Lasers also has some damned cool looking hosts.

Not to be rude but how is that my fault? By that I mean how the heck am I supposed to know that? I'm sorry but 99% of the members here are guys so my bad for assuming you were a guy. Not that there is any way of telling your gender, its absolutely NO WHERE in your profile so again, might want to make stuff clear before jumping down someone's throat. If we aren't told or made aware then how the heck are we supposed to know?

Sorry for asking but, What happened to WL in 2010?

Why is everyone raging back and forth here.

After attempting to get through this thread without tearing my eyeballs out:

1) Who cares if its WL. It's an expensive 5mW laser. Let people buy what they want if they don't take suggestions, forcing anything down peoples throats only leads to threads like these. I too would take a core over an ebay pen. I dunno how powerful they are now, but its likely they're not doing more than 5mW, with wicked's reputation anywho

2) lunasigma - its the internet, nothing good comes from getting upset with someone else from things in real life in an unrelated topic

3) livinloud - if you have problems with another member, just leave them be.

4) at the both of you - calm your butts down. Walk away from the situation and return only when you have cool heads.

5) who cares about neg rep. The rep system on the whole doesn't mean a damned thing with the exception of showing new members who turn out to be scammers, plain idiots or jerks.

The arctics came out that year, sales got flooded, "in another two weeks" every two weeks, most showing up underspec, then a recall on them, many problems arose etc. etc.

I can acknowledge they may be a better company nowadays, however being a part of that experience has lost my interest (and many others here) in being one of their customers.

Luna? Not trying to be rude/mean or anything. I understand how much it must of sucked to have so few people acknowledge your birthday...I really do.

But in all honesty, that dosen't seem like a fair reason to lash out at others, I just had my birthday a couple days ago and was the first time I was wished HB, all the other times most people forgot and I went about me business.

And for the WL "argument", I personally think everyone should buy the laser they feel will better suit them.
