Hey guys! Joe here!
I come here to show my 532nm build/assembly.
I wouldn't exactly call it a build. Well maybe. IDK It just felt like it was a legos kit. The end product isn't exactly close to how I wanted, But it works.

Details:
The host I got recently from "LivinLoud". It is a green anodized C6. It came with a matching heat sink and focus ring. I Used a copper heatsink for I love the weighted feel and heat dissipation characteristics.
The laser is an ebay special. I ordered a few 532nm module assemblies for pretty cheap. They were rated for about 50-75 mW for about 18$. I realize they are mostly an IR blaster.

Well one of the modules was separated from the crappy driver it came with. It also came with a data sheet showing min and max mA!!
So I gave up on the weird driver with the spring and button switch on it.
I got a bunch of these Aixis drivers awhile back rated for about 100mA-500mA.
So I wired up one of my 650nm "test loads" and set the driver to about 200mA. Honestly I don't remember what I exactly set it to. It was a "rough" and "late" night hint-hint and I was on a roll. I think the max was 250mA. So I kept it low for longevity.

I used one 16340 batt!! When I crammed the driver into the host I Put heat-shrink around it to keep from shorting. Well this supplied enough pressure to keep the batt against the tail-cap. Yes I know this is ghetto. That is why this is called a "Build/assembly/moch-up". It works and I have to get some details sorted out. At the time I was determined to have it work with little modification.
So it works great and I don't want to touch it. HA
This thing is very temperature sensitive like most 532's. When I pull it outta my pocket its a death ray. Anyways.. Here are some pics and beam-shots. I did not get any assembly shots... Once it was together and working I did not want to take it apart. Ive already lost a few spendy diodes doing that.

Hope you enjoyed! Feel free to criticize and comment. Yes I am a noob!!

Edit: More pics
Here the laser is cold. You can barley see the dot

Here is the pre-mock-up

This moch up is actually what I used in my recent FOG pics. as seen here: http://laserpointerforums.com/f48/fog-92362.html

Well thank you!
I have only built a few lasers so far! I wish I would have taken more pics while building, but being a newb I thought of it in hindsight!
I just ordered a 120mw 520nm diode from DTR!! Hopefully I will take more pics seeing how I ordered just the bare diode. I want to get used to not being nervous around spendier diodes... I didnt blow up my two m140's, so all luck to me!!
