So if I wanted to get a 515nm/520nm laser...

1) which one should I go for? 515nm or 520nm? I'm not sure which one I want... any suggestions?

2) Any recommendations as to where I should get mine? I saw wannaburnstuff's 520nm Aurora, I know that Bitlasers also sells a 520nm, anyone have any suggestions?

3) I'm still in the process of getting my 473nm, so this one might take a bit before I get it... but just gathering information :p

Do you want 100ish mW or 30ish mW? Cant say you would be able to tell the difference that much. 515 for unique, 520 for your now "standard" direct green.

I would go with that 520 Aurora build that one really cool guy has for sale :cool:

In all seriousness though, if there is any way I can customize it to your liking, let me know. If you need a 520 built in something specific, let me know. I would also be willing to talk partial trades if that is your cuppa tea.

It is like Pokemon cards, just keep letting your lasers change hands for new ones. The only reason I sell is to get more. lol. Except my parents thought pokemon cards were the devil....not sure what they think about my lasers lol.

Pretty much the only things in your sig I would kill for is that Argon and that RPL and the JL. So sexy but probably cost a lot more than my 520...hehe. :p

That 808 is also really cool but scares the shit out of me and also has the word "Coherent" on it, which means pricey haha. I wouldn't know what to even do with something like that......what do YOU do with it? lol.

Obviously I don't want to insult you or anything haha. But if you want to do trades plus cash I am open to ideas. Just LMK :)

Haha, that would be AWESOME. So you get 10W out of that sucker, you could probably pump, what, 2W or so out of that? I figure 20% efficiency is a nice estimate, although I could be totally wrong lol.

But yeah if you decide you want to talk trades on any of those first three I mentioned you let me know okay? Because Me=Interested. Also I just found some more funds so I might not have to sell ALL of my lasers to pay for the 5W 650 I am making.

He said that when I was deciding between 100mw 520nm or 30mw 515nm , and he was right.

Its not about the power, its about the wavelength , if it was about the power, just get a 532nm and be done with it.

I may also be using a 515 for my next tealish wavlength build in a DeadEyeMo host :D

Good point, ped (via DJNY lol), I'll have to think carefully about this one...

I don't think there's anything I want to really trade at the moment, I'm working on expansion, not leveling out :p but I do have to say, this is getting quite pricy... maybe I'll have to start trimming soon :eek:
