Hi,
I'm not sure if the 50mw pen or the 50mw focusable pen with the keylock is best. Is the focuser good? Will it help me make it less 'powerfu'l for pointing around and more when popping, etc?

What is petter for size, divergence, power, usability, looks, feel, straightness of beem (comes out at where you point, not angle, if you know what I mean)?

DealExtreme: $20.90 True 50mW Green Laser Pointer Pen Black
DealExtreme: $33.49 Focusable 50mW Green Laser Pointer with Safety Key Lock (1*18650 Included)

Thanks.

I should have pointed out; i'm in the UK so need cheap shipping as many companies import from china, charging up to £30 shipping. And i'm not really looking for a $160 laser, but more of a $30.

Thanks for the info, but once again i'm looking at a cheap, starter laser. I'm not looking for a burning laser (though one that can pop balloons is a bonus).

I've got a 50mw focusable from focalprice, and it's pretty cool. But you can only focus them out, not in. Also the locks in these cheap lasers wear out easily. On mine I've gotta hit a sweet spot with the key for it to fire. I'd go with a pen instead. BTW, the true 5mw from DX has the same diode as the true 50mw.

interesting point about the focuser.

I think i'll go for pen, and i'll let you know if/when I made a decision.

i can't understand WHY these chinese adjustable beam...are not ok for focus IN... bho.

i always thought that a lense that can be moved.....could make ALWAYS a focus point. like the dilda 200mw! but i heard a lot of people that can only have POSITIVE divergence.... but a real good anjustable laser MUST ALSO GIVE NEGATIVE DIVERGENCE........(negative divergence = focus point at 10 cm....30cm....1 meter...)
my bluray laser PEN from olike.. has a negative divergence... the smallest point is at about 2 meter.... :) and then it increases.... and at 4 meter it is THE SAME as the aperture beam diameter..... and this.. for me.. is a nice thing.... i can sting skin to people ..over 4meter ahahahhaha...i like to joke with it :p
