Since it turns out my green laser is probably at only 20mw. Is it okay to play with it indoors if I'm careful at where I point it at?

I use my viper indoors alot, but being carefull is an understatment. Now 20mW is alot less than almost 200mW but it is more than enough to cause eye damage. Just pointing to walls and normal non reflective surfaces is fine, dark objects as well. But somthings cause spectral reflections that you wouldnt expect, so always inspect your target before you shine the laser, and dont stare at the dot, or use it up close. Other than that your fine IMO

I know what you mean. I was beaming it off part of a chair and for some reason it reflected to the right to me. The chair was really dark. After closer examination, that part of the chair was actually darkly metallic and not actually painted over. It didn't reflect into my eye so it was okay and the reflection was extremely diffused. And another time I also thought my left eye was getting blurry at the edge of my eyesight, I started getting paranoid. Then I realize I wear glasses with high prescription so the area outside of it is very blurry. So I think I usually don't pay attention to the blurriness until now and I thought I shined my self from a reflection or something. I probably didn't and it was just me noticing I have crappy eyesight without my glasses and being really paranoid.

if a 100 mw green can not pop a sharpied balloon, the chances are its less than 40mw. And for the violet lasers, that sucks... How much did you pay for your lasers anyways?
