I ordered Song Song's last 2 505nm and 5 480nm diodes. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Well Hot DAWG! I sure do hope to get my paws on a variety of diodes so I can find just the right wavelengths to give me my fix and fill in my rainbow. I see a few of these coming my way, and I already have dumped out my drool-bucket a few times. :pop:

This diode could be as close to the holy grail of diodes when pushed to 488nm. And it doesn't cost over $1K to do it either.

I'm just fascinated to find out what those 505/480's can do.

Could you imagine Paul. Finger on the drool button. :D
The 480's could be pushed like those 465's. We've seen a 8-10nm difference before. Imagine 8-10nm on top of 480, with more power being the consequence. :p :drool:

Although realistically we could see 485nm I reckon before we start overdriving them.

I will not be pushing any of my samples that's for sure. Heck I may not even run them at full power. Edit: beyond the test that is.
The diodes ETA is Wednesday morning.

I may have just acquired some more of these 480nm diodes. At the price point I got them, I'm willing to send one for a murder test. Details after I'm back from work (if I do pull this off... waiting on a payment)

Edit: just realized it's 730pm in china. I'll find out tonight around 8pm EST what's going on with these. Fingers crossed

If He got them from the same batch as mine then there really is no need to spectro them.

If all goes well 5 will be under a spectrum analyzer tomorrow.
