As the title says, i'm looking for a 500mW laser for the best price and quality. I have 470$ at the moment and i don't know where to look actually. I've heard about Dragonlasers, but i've alose heard they are very overpriced if i'm right. Do you guys have any good sugestions? Again i'm new to the forum and pretty lost so i don't know if this is the best section or whatever you call it to post this on. Happy for answers! :) PS, sorry for bad english and spelling.

looks like you are not USA= so try Mr Gray at jetlasers.org
you need to use my name toget forum discount- also JL can't send you any batteries ATM. They have a 500mW green for around that price.
For less you can get 1W of blue 445

Couple things:

1. You should post a thread in the Welcome section to tell us a little about yourself!
2. You should read the Rules and Stickies as they will shed a large amount of light on many questions you may be tempted to simply make a thread for.
3. See number 2, seriously an important step for integrating into our community as most of the members here do not like to spoon feed you the information.

With that said, and pertaining to your post, I have a few questions for you and a comment.

1. Does Wavelength matter?(aka color)
2. Is your goal a burning laser or a laser with a highly visible beam or both?
3. Do you own safety glasses rated for the wavelength you will be getting? It IS necessary....as long as you like owning eyeballs.

Lastly, if you want quality, I would recommend Jetlasers. They produce very high quality lasers and have great customer service.

Other quality brands(forgive me if I forget a few):
1. CNI
2. Dragonlasers
3. Skylaser(LaserBtB) ....they seem to be well received here and seem to be up to spec consistently.

For 470 dollars you should be able to get a high quality 500mW laser(depending on the wavelength desired) and a pair of safety glasses.

Hope that helps! And again....Welcome section and Stickies, get on that :p

EDIT: Hakzaw1 beat me to it! Oh well.
