Hi all.
Since i was told not to buy anything from Focalprice by you guys before, i've been looking for a different 200mW pointer for a decent price.
Now i found a 200mW pointer on Qualitychinagoods, does anybody have experience with it?
I have already searched, i couldnt find anything about QualityChinaGoods itselve nor could i about this laser.
qualitychinagoods.com/200mw-532nm-green-laserl200v1-p-1246.html
Just put "WWW" in front of it.

Greetings,
Rob!

I have heard mixed reviews on QCG's products, although this seems to be a brand new product (just added today) so who knows - the odds are it will be as most Chinese "Cheapies", anywhere from 40-70% below spec (if you search the forum, you will find it is rare to find a cheap greenie rated at 200mW that actually outputs much over 100mW - although not unheard of)...

I sent an inquiry as to their policy regarding laser specs, I'll post the reply later (if I actually GET one, another common trait of these Chinese distributors) - usually they will only say that their supplier rates the output, not them, so they have no control over what you get.

ONE MAJOR EXCEPTION TO THE RULE - Susie at O-Like (www.o-like.com) - she guarantees all her lasers to perform as rated and has an excellent reputation with the members of this forum, You should give her products some consideration before risking your $$$ with an "iffy" supplier!

Well hey, even if it's only 100mw that's still only like 75 cents a mw.

Oh well.
I ordered a ''Treu'' 50mW one and that 200mW linked above.
Comes down to € 75.- total.
I'll be the Guinnea pig on this one.. ;D

Though, i can only compare it to BG50, DX Dilda and 50mw Treu DX.
I don't have a power meter or anything. :p

if you look at the pic it is watermarked that it came from szwholesale.com

so I went to szwholesale.com and found it cheaper there:

http://www.szwholesale.com/200mw-532nm-green-laserl200v1-p-2346.html

only potential drawback is they are trying to be a wholesale business and this is their shipping policy:

(1)For order whose value is under 200USD, it's samples rather than wholesale, thus 30% is charged as handling fee and will be shipped via airmail. The minimum handling is 6USD. While the site is mainly for wholesale purpose, the air mail shipping(plus the packaging) is incredibly high for samples.
(2)For order whose value is equal to or more than 200USD, it's treated as wholesale, both handling and Express shipping are free, always.
(3)For orders larger than 10,000USD, buyers can choose either shipping by Express or by sea to reduce shipping cost. Please contact us for more details.

so I guess as long as you buy more than $200 in stuff it sounds better

I already got a Reply from Jerry @ ChinaQualityGoods.
Its ''Normal'' output is 120mW, but it can reach the max of 200mW
If thats treu, still not a bad bang for the buck.

I too just recieved a reply from Jerry, but nowhere near as specific:

"Dear Dale,

Thank you for the question.

All our output for flashlighht and laser are their max output. Our manufacturer has facilities to test and measure the output. Thanks.

Any question please feel free to contact us.

Best wishes,

Sincerely,

Jerry Yang

Customer Support"

So I guess the answer is still (as usual) a definite "Maybe" - but if you peruse the site you will see some real "red flags" that are similar to those on the KD, DX, etc websites such as 50mW greens that range from $26 to over $100, the $340 "500mW" green that shows a striking resemblance to those purchased from FP by forum members and ended up being 80mW output ... I guess all in all it's your $$$ so do what you want - I'm going to have to second Johns' earlier post that the only way to really be sure you're getting what you order is to go through a reputable company such as Laserglow, Optotronics, etc.

Hmmm, those $26 50mW CR2 greens with the focus ring look pretty neat, though - might (okay, WILL) grab a couple of those to play with, possibly if nothing else a really funky little host for ???

I have dealt with them a few times and have had nothing but good experiences - reasonably fast shiipng, and good quality products. The shipping costs may be a little high, though (but I'm used to DX - free shipping),
