by itself? Are you calling that brass housing the heat sink? Because I'm not. Thus, the assembly pictured in the ebay listing does not have a heat sink. It will cook if you run that, the way it is, for 2 minutes. 30 seconds, maybe.

This is the host i want to use, its just on ebay. I am pretty sure it includes the heat spreader as well. Anyone had any experience with this host? i will be using a 18350 and the current draw is about 700-750mA i think. I will purchase for odicforce, just to be sfe than sorry. I dont want to get it and have no heat sink.

Yeah it has a small heat sink, which is about 1cm thick and 1cm wide that's press fit onto the module. Would you guess that it would be enough for a 2 min run time? Thanks, im gonna PM some guy that put a 100mw o-like module in this host and see what he says about it. Thanks Guys :)

I've got a 532 module running around 140mW in this host (Silver) I've never ran it for that long though but it goes like a champ

Cool, i only need it too go long enough to shine it around at night a little, while running cool enough for it to last a lifetime.

You will see the output become unstable and drop, and if you had goggles that don't completely block 532nm, you'd see that the dot starts morphing. This is when you know that it's time to turn it off for sure. I've got a 130mW green that I run in a host about twice that size, and I've never been limited by the laser. I don't know that I've ever had it on for more than 2 minutes at a time, but I bet I have at least a few times.

I'll put it this way. Your combination is close enough that we can't give you a for sure answer as to whether it will last 2 minutes or not. I'd be willing to bet it can last 1 minute pretty easily, though, and a minute is longer than you think.

Hi again guys, i didn't want to start a new thread so i thought i would just use this one which is almost the same, but this time i don't need help. So i got that 200mw green module from laserlands eBay Australia: Buy new & used fashion, electronics & home d?r and i got this host instead eBay Australia: Buy new & used fashion, electronics & home d?r I don't think the lenses are AR coated because they don't say they are, i thik they just put them up as 660, 445 and 405 so they show up more in the search. If it is AR coated i will see if the glass lens fro the green module is the same thread as in the host, if not i will just use an aixiz acrylic lens. The hardest part of this build will be focusing it to infinity, because i think i have to unscrew the whle head then adjust the lens and then screw the whole head back on haha. Wish me luck :D
