We can wait, but maybe with the cancelled CNI order, you could get the 200mW green Dilda that lasersbee reviewed. That is if you still want to spend that money on a high powered green laser.

Any luck with the O-like yet? I'm still waiting myself.

Well mine arrived 2day and the wonderful postal worker that delivered it seems to have never learned how to knock on a door.

I had nothing on in my house(No TV, No Stereo, Nothing) and just my screen door closed and he still managed to slip in and leave me a note saying "Sorry We Missed You".

When I saw that note in my mailbox he can be glad he was out of range or I would not have "Missed Him" Grrrrrrr!

After waiting for this thing since the 7th of last month he has no idea the hatred I have for him at this moment.

Kind of made me want to go "Postal" on him.

At any rate I will be going to the post office in the morn and should be at home with my new laser very soon.

Sorry for the Rant but man I hate the USPS.

Yea they drive me nuts, I've had many packages come that say signature confirmation on the box, and they just leave it at the door, drives me nuts. That's happened 2 times already, luckily I still got the packages ok.

Hey Luke, IIRC, your LPM uses a Photodiode doesn't it ? My understanding is that they are NOT as accurate as an LPM that uses a Thermopile sensor. IDK, I could be wrong though. HEY LASERSBEE, wanna step in here & add your opinion on this ?..............rob

Glad to hear you got the rest of the O-like. I have to ask. What did it test at without the added IR filter you put on?

I have to agree with you the O-like is a real bang for the buck laser. I'm curious to see if it ends up being your best Price vs Performance pic of all the ones you're testing.

It is a photodiode, but it says it's got wavelength correction and accuracy within 5%.

Method 1
Without the filter it tests around 450mW but this is entirely inaccurate as that number is not reflective of the amount of IR spilling out or the green but rather a distorted measurement of the green therefor this information is useless....almost.
Using a filter that filters out all green and keeping the meter set to 532nm I get a reading of 175mW. Assuming most of the IR gets though that means that I am getting 275mW of green out.
Method 2.
I received a butt load of IR filters from optotronics.com they do not completely block out IR and they also block out some green. Using 2 of these filters and some math you can determine the green output. It turns out to be around the same or slightly higher.

Hi, the equipment on your picture (coherent) you are using to measure the power of the beam. Could you post a link where one can buy this?

Thanks

It's too expensive. You would be better off getting a laserbee with data loggin unless you would rather have a meter that you can easily slip in your pocket.
