200mw DX green question

I have just received my 200mw green from DX and I am [highlight]wondering if i could replace the 3v CR123A battery with a CR123A 3.6v[/highlight]?

I also received a 200mw red from them also and I am replacing the 3v CR2 to the 3.6v CR2

Well, the description says that it was Pre-Pot modded from a 150mW unit. It's already being overdriven, and increasing the battery power might cause malfunction (burn-out of the diode), or the diode's lifetime will be shortened further.  :-/

Yes, you could Try to replace it with a 3.6V battery and gain more power (possibly), but be warned...it might cause it to malfunction.  :'(

I put a 3.6V in and it didn't immediately die but I'm not going to leave it like that...you bring up a good point..that it is already overdriven.

I don't know how could you buy this unit, really, not to offend, but chinese laser factory moded must be half IR, and what I understand less is how can you think in modding it more than what it alredy is.

I just hope it doesn't break in a week, good luck
