Hak, when you mentioned it in PM I considered it but I just don't have the travel budget right now.. But going to a laser related convention would be something I want to do at some point :) I'd probably get WL envy :)

I am calling H.I. today to book a single-- I can be very persuasive- and know the inner workings somewhat of the hotel/motel biz(6 yrs at the Ramada Inns{then she let me move back in---j/k lol}) as the night chef. So I will sweet talk Day front desk into allowing me to change my room once I get there should I find a last minute person to split the costs. Suites are sweet!!!- we used to get as many as six side-by-side suites at the Embassy Suites, Houston--then after clubbing til 3am we could make the very short drive there rather than the perilous 1 hour trek home.

We used to say the Embassy is walking distance to the club and crawling/staggering distance going back.

AHH ! Those were the 'glory' days--Now it takes us all nigtht long to do what we used to do all night long!

My only consideration would be flying myself in... Are there any nearby regional airports that you guys know of?

Hickory Regional is the closest
for the bigger airports it tells you here

Pretty long way from Colo. your arms are going to be SORE!!

seriously I know I can find somebody to come pick you up at the airport- I will PM you with my cell- DocJohn(perhaps one other) and I have a first floor suite (Holiday Inn Express, Conover)that allows up to 5 peeps- I will be checking in around noonthirty on Friday-- split 4 ways the suites sre only 75$ per person(+tax) for all three nites.

anybody else want in ??--you need to PM me asap- that way I can edit my thread on PL.

Instead of thousands at a music concert with a laser show---SELEM will be just a few hundred of us watching 30 fullcolor laser shows to DJ music-

swap meet,- BBQ,- after hours laser parties, meet-n-greet

see what they had in past years at youtube-SELEM

state of the art laser projectors-

-- be there- meet members in person--


- I/we are driving 18 hrs--
