Would these goggles do the job?

I have those goggles, and they are crap. BUT they will protect you a little (they let very little green from my green laser)... I'd worry more about direct hits. If you don't target the goggles user in the eye, it should do the job...

Its better than nothing BUT I don't recommend it. Are your eyes worth $5?

Great point, your eyes are not worth $5!
The only thing is I can't afford 5 pairs of the eagle goggles...
If they will do the job, that should be OK, i'm not planning on doing anything risky with the laser.

Thanks

I have THESE goggles and they reduce my Fasttech 30mW Module (most likely overspec) to a very small and dim yellow dot. They haven't been tested with an LPM though.

You could also buy goggles from justinjja HERE. They're $14 for a pair + 8 for extra pairs. Plus shipping.

Id go with Stin. The eagle pair are great and lots of members use them and can vouch for their quality (including me:D)
but then again you probably only need a cheaper ebay pair for what you're doing

I own a pair from Dragonlasers, half the price of the eagle pairs, but still very good, gotta wait for shipping from china though.

please explain how dragonlaser glasses are cheaper.......just checked them out and this is what im getting. added the glasses to my cart and estimated shipping. Glasses= $24.99, Shipping= $18; TOTAL $42.99 and have to wait on chinese shipping......Eagle Pair are $41.99 + 10% off = $37.79 + shipping which is around $3-5 depending on the method you pick so TOTAL = $40.79-42.79

 am i missing something on the dragonlaser glasses or in the end are they more expensive and less protection?

Gun' don't trust those glasses ( the red Chinese ones), I just did a test with a 532nm that says LASER 303 on the side.
No glasses 103mw
Red Chinese 61mw
UVEX S1933X 48mw
How much of this is IR I couldn't tell you.

I would play it safe with the Eagle Pair, but it's too expensive to buy about 3-5 pairs. As I want to protect other peoples eyes when i'm showing the laser....

Can I have your eyes if thats how much they are worth to you?
Seriously, go get some reputable CE OD6+ goggles .
From Thorlabs for example.

CE OD4+ is the minimum requirement
