There are these things called "rights" that make it so the cops would need a search warrant to go into the persons house and take the laser. You need to have substantial proof to get a warrant. Not to mention that the cops have better things to do. Unless the women was seriously blinded/injured the cops aren't going to bother considering there's no way to prove it was a laser.

Cops do that kind of stuff all the time, If the cop goes to the guys door and said something like "now boy you best be given me the real laser you shined in her eyes or there be trouble". If the cop is successful the guy will hand over his laser being the dumb ass he is.

Yea thats not against the law. If you're stupid enough to give your property to the cops without a warrant or a subpoena than thats your fault. The cops lie all the time to get people to cooperate. It's your own fault for falling for it. The cops aren't just going to march into some ones house without probable cause or a warrant and even if they did go in without cause and they did find something illegal a judge would immediately say that the police had no right to be on the property in the first place.

Exactly what I meant in my first post.

100% true, I wont say what but, I got arrested like a couple months ago and the cop was very nice and told me if I corporate and told the truth Id just get a warning and wont be charged with any Felony's or Misdemeanors. I gave up and told the truth, I got charged with a misdemeanor. I was then told that cops can Legally lie, to get evidence. You can imagine how angry I was. :undecided::gun:

Yeah... police continuously act in such a way as to create an "us" vs "them" relationship with all non-police. I have been able to identify no logical over-arching principal that would explain this general stance, save one: It seems to be designed to make the population in general into criminals.

The whole "drug war" seems to have the same effect. The only problem is that I can't seem to think of a good reason for doing this that makes sense. It just seems inefficient and counter-productive under the current system. The only way it makes sense is if there are plans to turn the US into a police state or dictatorship some time in the future.

Exactly. I also won't say what it was for but I was arrested at one point and the detective told me the same exact thing. "Cooperate and you won't be charged you'll get to go home" blah blah blah. I proceeded to tell him and his partner to fuck off and called my attorney. My friend who was also arrested fell for there BS and implicated himself in a felony. I'll give you one guess which one of us went home and which was eventually convicted of a felony. ;)

Lawyers are slippery things and who knows about their camera stuff.. maybe it wasn't as good as you through it was...

In any case if you admit it they don't have to go to court and it saves them time, effort and paperwork.

They had everything they needed, I was even wearing the same clothes, and my license plate was on the camera. I doubt even the best lawyer could of gotten me out of that one.
