Wish list, what kind of laser do you wish you could buy?

yup.

1mm beam
0mrad or as close as possible.
WL selector knob, 1nm increments from, hell, why not 250nm -1000nm?
power selector knob, 1mW for first "click", 5mW for second, every click thereafter adds 5mW, up to 5W
focusable, not for burning as much as for a spotlight of any WL you wish, I'm sure a 1mm beam @5W and 0mrad would burn well enough

pretty sure every one here would trade every laser they had for such a laser

Are you listening santa?

....and while you're at it Santa, throw in a million dollars too:gun::D

How do you know these things? I can't find anything on the module when I search. If you have any specifications, I could sure use them.

Actually, taking a closer look at the
datasheet, it looks even worse. The label
is just a generic catch-all so they can use
it with a bunch of different wavelengths.
There are different order codes for each
wavelength and line pattern.

In keeping with what is currently possible (given a few $$$$): UV laser in handheld format.

DTR selling 589nm in a ready to go module >100mW for under $200.
Actually a lot greater variety of diodes readily available. I'm sure there's going to be a couple of new ones offered this year. Hopefully they will be different enough from what he has now to be the new must haves but at a reasonable cost.
Anyone have any guesses what they are likely to be?

Guesses: 3-4W 462nm, unknown power 473nm or unknown power 488nm. First one is very likely.

Love my 2.2W 462nm. Would dump all my 445-450nm before the 462nm. Have yet to see a 472/3 in person

I want this so I can hold your planet for ransom. You better pay up, son. Or else I'm going to toast your bitches. And your mom. It's going to get real, because I'm going to toast your mom. Unless you fork out cash. Start forking it out! I'll send you my Paypal info.

You better pay up or else your planet's going bye-bye, Death Star style. Because, you know, that's a Death Star, right there. Yep.
