Hey whats up guys I'm new to the laser world but i do have a question... is there a way to trigger the laser wirelessly or maybe there was another thread about this. Im trying to do this for my school project. Any help would be great

Of course, but it really wouldn't have anything to do with the laser. Im sure that google would help you out with that one. You would just need a wireless mechanism to start/stop the power supply hooked to the laser.

If you want to start your laser with another laser you can use a 2N2222 NPN transistor and a CdS photoresistor =P . Doing so may cause Xibit memes to pop up though, so caution is advised.

Yeah just go with off the shelf remote switching devices.

thanks for all the help guys i do appreciate it... i ended up ordering the wireless garage door remote so ill probably get it in 2 weeks. ill fallow up with another thread and post pictures
