wire driver to diode

See image, this is the driver I have but the wiring on the picture does not make sense. The - of the battery goes to the spring and the diode is wired to the other end of the driver but where do I wire the + post of the other end of the battery. Also what voltage can I use for a 12X BDR-S06J Laser

I think the LD+ is just the + of the battery.
The voltage is usually 3~5V.

So the + of the battery goes to the LD+ and then goes to the + side of the diode. Then the current is regulated through the - side

Sorry Im not getting anywhere with this driver if anyone has used one take a look at the pic and tell me whats wrong

I have a couple of those. I think I got them from cajunlaser. They are not on the sight any more.
The positive for the nattery is a small pad in the center of the board covered by the spring.
A bitch to get at!
I cut off and removed the spring.
Then put negative wire in one of the spring holes.
