Willing to buy NOT working??

I have tried to post this topic twice now, each time it says it must be approved by the moderators. The first time was 8 days ago, and the second 3 days ago, neither have been posted. Does anyone know how long it takes to get yours posted??

Yes I'm sure I posted it in the newbie section, not the long time members section. Maybe there is something wrong with my posting? Here is the actual posting.....:





Hi all. Here is what I want:

1) a small host that is keychain size (less than 4 inches long), I like several models that jayrob has and if I find a buyer i'll pass along those models to you.

2) I want to be able to pop black balloons from around 40 feet (12m) away or more therefore I will need strong mw as well as good divergence

3) I want to be able to shine the laser over 2000 feet (500m) on trees or buildings ect and see it

4) I want to be able to see the beam at night if I shine it up in the sky very clearly.

5) It would be awesome if I could see the beam inside my house in daylight as well, if possible.

6) if you can fit in it, i'd really like an IR filter as well.

IMPORTANT: I prefer green, HOWEVER, I would be open to blue and violet if that's the only way I would be able to follow #2 (popping balloons from 40+ feet away). However, if you can build one that can do that in green I'd much rather have that. If not, violet or blue will be fine as long as it can satisfy #3 and #4 (long distance and see beam at night up in the sky)


I am obviously open to prices and what not however I have been talking to a few people, 2 of them members with high rep and post count on this site via pm who have given me approximate prices so that I do not get ripped off.

He has specified that he wants an IR filter, so he probably wants DPSS, not diode.

Your going to need many mW if you want to pop balloons @ 40 feet, probably something on the order of 400mW and in a green module that's going to cost ya.

Without a beam expander, unless the module/setup has very good divergence, even 400mW is not going to be enough with a green laser... and a module like that will be $$$$$ pricey.

Key chain size limits the output really.

Heat management, battery capacity, etc...

I think instead of green, a 445 build is better suited for the goals you have in mind.

But still the size of the build will be something to consider.

Even with a 10440 battery host, I would probably recommend nothing higher than 700mA's just because of the battery capacity.

But that would still be a class 4 laser over 500mW's. (405-G-1 glass lens)

Yes, you need 20 laser related posts...which, if he'd of read the stickies in the B/S/T section, he'd of have known that.

If I read the stickies at every forum I ever joined I'd still be reading to this day. Lets be honest... it's kinda like the "Agree to Terms and Conditions" that we all lie and say we have fully read and agreed to. I'm not saying what I did was right, and I'm not saying that anyone should go without reading the stickies. I'm just simply saying let's be realistic here, a lot of people don't read the stickies unless it pertains to the info they want/need. It's just not practical in this short life to read them all. This forum seems to have more stickies than I have ever seen and I've been through my fair share of forums before. In any case, sorry for the troubles Ped. Didn't mean to stress you out because I haven't read all the stickies. Glad to see you used your online police power and deleted my posts though. Go you!


P.S. It is never my intentions to offend anybody. I am just an honest soul trying to make his way through life. I wanted to have a laser built and while doing so I thought I'd share with everyone my find on pot modding that DID 100% in fact work. I witnessed it myself. Now will the laser last?? Obviously I cannot predict the future, but there are people out there who either have 5$ to blow to try this themselves OR they are getting bored with lasers and this might spark the interest back in them and give them something fun to try.... and it's free....
