Will this short my laser?

Hi this is my first time posting here so im sorry if its the wrong spot. I do not know much about lasers or batteries but i would like to get into them. i bought this laser that takes 3.6v batteries but i bought these batteries Amazon.com: UltraFire 16340 3.6V 880mAh Rechargeable Protected Battery(Pair) + 16340 Lithium Double Battery Charger Combo: Camera & Photo
will these batteries short my laser because they charge to 4.2v or will my laser be ok if i use them :thanks:

A laser designed for 3.6v batteries will have taken this into account (all 3.6/3.7s charge to about 4.2). I use 3.7 batteries in pens designed for 2 AAAs all the time without any problems.

Hehe. Short it out. Wrong term, but I get what you're saying

3.6V is the nominal voltage of a battery, if a laser says it takes a 3.6V/3.7V battery that is the nominal rating. Those batteries will work with the laser.
