wicked lasers gets a very bad rep from people on the forum. You people are judging this company based on there failures in the past. I got the wicked lasers arctic spider 3 for 300$ in december and the laser peaks at 1250mw. Wicked lasers also incorporates smart switch that no other company has adopted. The customer service is great and the lasers are well built and are more advanced than many other companies. Wicked lasers also sells there lasers for cheaper than many other sites. I have read countless posts where people have asked about wicked lasers and been refered to a more expensive site that has lasers that are much worse in quality, price, convenience, and features. so if anyone is looking to buy from wicked lasers but doesn't know if it is one of the best sites. Buy from them they are the best site!!! Don't listen to the people that are still dwelling on a past experience. Wicked lasers has changed and i hope that some people will come to realize that!!!

Did you meter it yourself? Did you buy a $300 laser from them and have it die, and after replacing it have it die again?

Yeah, not happening for me.

So uhm, Wicked Lasers is supposed to get a clean slate based on their future potential to do well, never mind the thousands of people they screwed over?

i am not stating that you guys that have been screwed by them in the past use them again. what i am simply saying is that they have changed and there is no reason to refer other people away from the site. This forum is supposed to be helpful. Stating your feelings and not taking into consideration that they have changed and now offer some of the best lasers on the current market is not helpful.

I like my new arctic 1.25W it's doing over 1.25W and i got a big discount on it for my trouble with my back in the day krypton 500mW that only did 250mW max ^^
Yes i felt just as screwed as many, so i got in contact with them explaining how i felt about it.

I also recieved back cash from them when i had to pay customs to recieve the laser.

Other then that, all my Wl's to date are purchased true members here.
The arctic is something i buyed directly from them and it works fine :) had allot of cash back from them, and good quick chat and support and shipping.

If i must say... i really dislike the spam of ''for example'' Laserbee, that keeps dwelling on the past and spams his LPM's... and his 33 reasons ''from 2009 / 2010 ?¿''
''Just becouse WL didn't wanted to buy his LPM's''
In my book he's just like the banned ''what was his name'' techjunkie or something that created that topic wayyyyyyyyyy back... :D

Just my 2 cents ^^.

You can't blame people for feeling negative about WL based uopn bad experience of one kind or another.

They seem to have cleaned up thier act in some respects recently and are giving good customer service.

Their prices remain among the highest.

Where do you find more expensive 445nm lasers that you mentioned are worse than WL's?.
WL are $299.95 for 1000mw and $399.95 for 1250mw?

what i am simply saying is that they have changed and there is no reason to refer other people away from the site.

I would need to see significant evidence of that change, before being comfortable ordering from them myself, or telling anyone that it's ok to order from them.

This is a company that I have personally seen outright lie, on many occasions.

Even then, I would most likely not order from them, because there are companies that offer comparable products, at comparable, and often better prices, that have, and continue to have excellent service.

So when asked, will continue to refer people to WL competitors... why wouldn't I? I don't want to do these people, looking for advice a disservice.

IMO products from WL should only be purchased secondhand, after being tested by a neutral middleman. This is consistent with advice always given, when the credibility of a seller on the forum is in question.

As would I. Without a lot of people going in-depth showing their own graphs and power readings over a period of time, I will not recommend them. WL has lost my respect and in losing it they will not get any referrals from me based on the possibility of improving.

I also agree with IE completely on the matter...

This is a company that I have personally seen outright lie, on many occasions.

IE, I have to agree 100% based upon the massive number of people reporting bad experiences and outright lies.

They still "lie"/stretch the truth to the maximum, all the time--the web site proudly proclaims the Arctic " the worlds most powerful handheld laser" which it is not ---first time builders on this site build more powerful and the Krypton is not even close to being "the most powerful handheld laser in the known universe".
Those phrases and others are just BS marketing artworks to capture, capitvate, and reassure the imaginings of a certain type of audience/potential and return buyer. who should know better but doesn't and to encourages those who do know better to suspend disbelief for whatever reasons and wish what they were saying were real.
Silly stuff like " As the saying goes, with great power comes great responsibility." is all over the web site. Come on be real---yes it is hilarious and clever marketing of a sort that skirts the outer edge of reality and probably legality but is far from the truth of anything but movies and cartoons.

Wicked lasers also sells there lasers for cheaper than many other sites. I have read countless posts where people have asked about wicked lasers and been refered to a more expensive site that has lasers that are much worse in quality, price, convenience, and features.

laserlover95, I agree that WL's S3 is a great looking host and that they are excellent at marketing/clever marketeers. Yes they have a very attractive web site creating an illusion that people seem to enjoy but your comments do not ring true.

Where have you seen 445nm blue lasers that are more expensive and much worse in the several ways as you mention.
WL prices are way up there $299.95 for 1000mw which is expensive and $399.95 for a 1250mw is beyond high in today's world?

and in regards to them stretching the truth. That is one thing i agree on to an extent. They state that the arctic is the most powerful handheld laser that you can legally own which is true in the us where i live.

O goodness I didn't realise my 2.9W 445 was illegal in the USA I should sell it and get a legal weak WL.
