Did we get this pissed when the other 2 highest output green lasers for the time were called the Hercules, and Hulk?

The main problem I have with the name is the fact that "krypton" already refers to an ion laser. Now WL has sullied that excellent name with this laser.

WL kids are going to be all sad when they realize that real krypton lasers are far cooler than the shit they're playing with.

You have no idea how many people i talk to that were initially confused by this as well.

Most, then agree.... that the name does sound "cool" and appropriate... (if you had to come up with a name).

Just know that if you name a laser the "Sapphire" I will personally punch whoever thought of it.

Because we've got Ti:Sapphire and the Coherent Sapphire (OPSL system). :p

To be fair, you have a point - pretty much every cool name is already taken.

Hulk, Hercules, Aries, Orion, Altair, Lyra...

Then some a bit less cool (Rifle, Mini, Grenade) by Lazerer,

And some just stopped giving a damn (O-like 400mW 532nm laser).

"Krypton" - pretty much first image is a green glowing crystal which, holy sh*t, makes Superman vulnerable.

One can't help but wonder if naming the lasers is actually necesary. When you think about it, Wicked would recieve far less bad media coverage when all you've got to work with is "1 Watt 445nm blue laser made by Wicked lasers [and everybody else]" then catchy "Arctic".

Just sayin'.

I think it's clear they count on all this 'bad media coverage'. Exactly this makes them the most famous laser company. And while Krypton is bad, it's still nothing compared to that double 1W 445nm, where imho the only reason it was made was the bad (but big) publicity.

Good thing they did not actually start selling it... A kid trying to make a double lightsaber battle in front of its friends = a room full of blind people...

I just decided to write a bit of saftey info on WL facebook page. I just warned everyone that these lasers are not toys and should not be used as such. I also added that proper laser safety goggles should be warn and to get them from a trusted seller. Lastly I directed them here for further information.

In responce, WL has deleted my post, banned me from the facebook group and removed my rights to write on the wall after I joined the group again. WTF?
