why would ebay deem my bluray hazardous?

I hate ebay, I'm arguing with them now, but I think it's because I never wrote "less than 5mw" anywhere...

how do the other guys sell thos more powerful lasers on ebay? anyone know?

dont' say how much power it's putting out. That's how wickedlasers sells thier lasers on ebay.

omg the same thing happened to me just don't say that it is capable of outputing higher that 5mW and your set

If you don't say it's power when it's above 5mW you run a huge risk of it not selling so maybe put a hyperlink (not a normal link) to more product info.

Did their email say "5MW" or "5mW"?

Why not just give less curent where it is 5mw, the differance between that and say 8mw is barely noticable at best, they will both be bright because our eyes are more sensitive to bluesih violet then red.

So, can a hand held portable 150mW red burning laser be advertised as a "club/disco/rave" laser? How does eBay classify a club laser? Is it something that requires an AC outlet?

I have sold a few 10mW blu-ray lasers on ebay with the outlet requirement and didn't have trouble. I have also seen '5 mW' blu-ray pointers sold where the seller claims at least 5mW and no action was taken.

It makes you wonder what competing sellers are out there trying to take down your listing, eh?

WHats the diffrence between a hyperlink and a normal link?

i think it means a link, but its not actually linked, so you can't just directly click on it?

finally someone who understands my last sentence in that last post. being that there is only three sellers of these blurays on ebay right now, i would assume it's a would-be seller waiting for his bluray diodes to come in, just a guess though.

Will a blue-ray diode cause UK tender to fluoresce in the same way that true UV will?

There is a very easy way around this and you can label your power at whatever you want. Do not call it a pointer but a "module" for use with XY scanners etc. By classifying it as an OEM module and including a disclaimer that the buyer understands the perils of laser light and should know what he / she are doing before they install it into whatever equipment they want, you can label it up to KW power if you wish.
