Why do you think lasers are fun and addictive?

Many of my friends laugh at me for my laser hobby.
They say they are simply expensive colored lights.
And I don't know how to explain them my love for lasers :yabbmad:
Should I find new friends or what?

It's like building model cars. You get the satisfaction of creating something that is of value to fellow collectors. Or owning a rare sports card. But to me it's addicting for the complete collection. I need all wavelengths of all power range. All unique hosts , all super powered, all accessories, all projectors, all gas, geez never mind....screw lasers!!

Hey!

Just ignore them, you like lasers? So what? Everyone is aloud to like their own things, I accept anything others like, no matter how stupid it is.

Just enjoy you're hobby and move on :)

Well, unless you're doing science or burning things with them, using them as a tool, then yeah they are prettymuch just expensive colored lights. :)

Friends are annoying and/or stupid. Life is easier without them.

If you can't find joy in lasing, it's time to take a step back and re-evaluate your existence.

Haha. That what I always think. How isn't it appealing. I need stuff too tinker with. What better than lasers!

Yeah I would laugh too... 300 hundred dollars on one of your first lasers... Mine was a red pointer from the gas station up the road... I would kill for what you have so be happy you can at least afford one. Some day though.......

Look at what they like to do..
don't they have some hobby or activity that not all around understand?

I tell them two things

1) i like THEM!!- WHETHER YOU DO OR NOT IS NOT MY PROBLEM.

2)IF YOU NEEDED TO ASK I DOUBT YOU WILL UNDERSTAND MY ANSWER.

Some of the things they like may very well be something that others do not appreciate-just like they do about your lasers- I gave up telling most of my local friends-BUT when they see my laser shows to their fav music I DO get their attention-When I type their names into my software and they appear on the screen they get very interested- so far none of the ladies i show my software to find it boring- they catch on real quick and i often have to ask to be back in control- show a youngsters how to trigger abstract cues and frames and they too wont want to stop- thats the perfect time to begin lesson one of SAFE laser use. Just owning ONE projector even a monocolor green WILL help.. BUT W A R N I N G! laser projectors are even more addictive.. AND dont blame me if you suddenly find parts of your handheld collection less special and FS-:tsk:

I have the perfect stand-alone --- and just in time for Xmas at ONLY $248 DHL express shipped 72 hrs to you door from when LK hands them over to China DHL. see the description of the LK 3D in my GB #4 thread(group buys)

see the YTube vids

the LK 3D is an awesome little PJ-- it WILL win over your people.. Or I will buy it back. RGB 320mW and wireless RC.

Okay I said one of. My point is you jumped the gap without a proper head start if your picking up what I'm putting down. It's alright though. You luckily have not pissed me off enough to warrant hate. Have fun

I started out with the red pointers from Walmart, and my first stronger laser was an Arctic back in 2010. I thought burning stuff was cool for a few months, but then it got old. Now, I just like to watch the beam in the sky as I go for my night walks.

I point to the sky with my lasers every night. And I always point to an abandoned building under construction at about 3 km away.
I'll never get bored of that.
And I still have my first keychain red laser btw. :yh:
