Am I the only one that logs how long I run my laser's for? Thought this would be a good question to ask my fellow laser guru's. When I say I log my run times I don't mean I'm out there with a stop watch or anything I just guess real quick and write it in my laser book because when and if I buy a diode off of eBay and they claim a redicolus low use on the diode I'd like to be able to say look mofo I ran it for 200 total minutes and it died etc.... Let me know what you do, or think about this. Maybe I'm just crazy. I just like to take good care of my stuff.

I have never even thought of this but it sounds like a good idea. One thing bothers me that those used diodes being sold that are pulls from used projectors always say approximately X number of hours, well there's no way they could know how many hours. That gives me an idea, it would be possible to build a timer into projectors and lab lasers that could keep a permanent record of run time. No one will bother with it though, it would just increase the cost and size and be one more thing that could break, but it would be a nice feature to have built in. As far as keeping a log book for my lasers I don't think I'll do it, I have too much to keep track of as it is.
