Hmmm, I had not noticed anyone talking down to anyone? I fact all I read was people giving the guy some good advice, they told him roughly what his laser was likely to be emitting in power, they advised him to get some glasses for his safety, He was offered some one on one consultation via pm with a forum veteran, he was told / shown where to pick up a value priced Radiant power meter as to which I have one and for $100 is great! Soooo ImA4Wheeler I cannot see what you are on about, maybe you have just travelled to many Rough Roads?

+5 green rep for doing that and yes as long as you keep your dad involved and buying WITH you or FOR you that is great-- Safety and avoiding lawsuits trumps al that other stuff

That said I DO agree with you that sometimes the people here can be OVERLY DEFENSIVE to the point it could be seen as being OFFENSIVE.

However in my short time here I am learning that is probably because the world is crashing down on us laser enthusiasts, we are being backed into a corner by governments around the world bringing in these completely stupid laser laws instead of doing the logical thing which would be educating people on the safe use of lasers. And we both know when you back someone into a corner bad things happen.

YES Rifter has this correct--- and it is up to each seller how they handle the age issue- but ignoring that or getting lied to about age can be VERY bad for both parties and our hobby in general-- would be be OK selling a gun to a minor becasue he said he was 21 when he actually was 12??

thats what i thought-
IMO the only way is proof of age- having been a doorman/bouncer for a few years gives me some insight to proof of age and how far some will go to get around the 'rules'

IMHO those that protest the loudest are prolly under 18= & the opinions of others means nothing unless they are willing to share the responsibilities.

If I cannot connect with one or both parents I would rather not sell at all when it comes to sales on completed lasers (technically illegal btw)

Not sure any memberts have been 'SCAMMED" on buys of LPMs
Over charged for the product and short on the support after the sale however has been a problem we now no longer have... I have a good used LPM I am perhaps going to sell- PM me and I can give you the info...hak

I cant anser your question, but holy crap where did you but a 1 mw advertised laser with at least 150 mw of power?
