I'm looking for a nice laser that isnt going to break on me in a year.. I looked at a very nice detailed review here with many pics of the arctic s3... I was going to buy the 2w but then i was kind of in a debate in between that and the krypton.. But I didn't know which is better more visible and strong enough to cut, burn.. Then I came across A LOT of forums here saying WL is basically the worst place to goto! If there not where I'm supposed to goto where am I supposed to ?? :tired: I see advertisement here for: cnilaser, free mascot, warnlaser, aliexpress, Etc. I don't know what is good quality or a legit website or anything i have been trying to research this stuff on a lot of my freetime through out this week! :gun: I did have a 200mw or 50mw green I honestly forget which one.. I bought a 5mw from dealextreme and i used it as a host for my 50 or 200 and that one was awesome until it was left on in my pocket and burnt out.. Dealextreme doesnt have anything now and shipping is horrible... I do not know If WL is still bad the posts i seen on here were real old about how bad they were even though I live in canada I can easily goto the states and pick up my laser from a friends house if i really need to

What about this one it seems like a great deal but why so cheap  445nm 2W Ultra Powerful Blue laserpointer Burning laser - $169.00 : Laser Pointer,Green laser,Blue laser, Red laser,Buy Laser Pointers,Cheap laser pointer
P.s. I live in CANADA Help me OUT! :thanks:

There are a lot of good companies out there, here are my recomendations:

Cheaper:
laserbtb
lazerer (be careful here)

Expensive as F***!
Laserglow
CNI
DragonLasers

All of these places ship to Canada i believe. :D

These are just MY recommendations an i am sure there are more.

If i were you i would go with a 445nm from laserBTB, they are very well priced!

Also, a 300mw green is technically brighter than a 1 watt blue, so for visibility, green wins, but for burning, blue is the way to go.

Welcome to the forum!

Shutdup about LaserGlow KRNA :( haha!

But anyway, yes LaserGlow is quite expensive but they are re-sellers of CNI so it's top notch, as with DragonLasers.

Another great company is laserbtb.com and JetLasers.org(very nice guy called Gray).

Please do not buy WL or any other cheap Chinese pen crap, those will break in under 1 month and are total garbage.

PS: Make sure to add your location on your "account details".
Best of luck :)

Does that hurt you inside? I hope it HURTS!

I kid... I kid...

Look, if you have deep pockets, laserglow is the way to go! (dat rhyme tho!)

I just feel bad whenever i overpay for something because i know someone is totally taking advantage of me :(

Their prices are higher than WL though. :(

Forgot about Jetlasers, they are good too!

I've had quite a good experience with Dragon Lasers recently. They replaced a laser (of which I was the second owner) for free with almost no questions asked. I did pay for return shipping but they quickly sent a replacement which is almost double its advertised power.

As far as your situation, it sounds like this is your first laser. If, so I'd suggest something lower powered than a 2w blue. A 100mw green from TheJoker301 (or his site Sci-Fi Lasers) is a great starter. All of the other companies mentioned (except Lazerer) I would also highly suggest. The buy/sell/trade section is also an excellent option.

Have fun, be safe (hope you have goggles), and welcome to the forum

BTW You can get somebody to custom make you a laser that will be more powerful, last longer and have better duty cycles than most of the "normal" lasers you can buy, and in alot of cases it will be cheaper for you. Not to mention, it supports the builders within LPF :D

OP I can completely understand your frustration! I had this very problem when I first started, it seems there are millions of companies to buy lasers from , but only a handful which won't send you crap AND they're the last you hear about. It's a minefield and very nearly put me off the hobby altogether.

I found out who the half decent companies were by reading this forum on and off for around a week, and then eventually got my first laser from laserbtb as a gift from my OH. I've since bought two more from them, my only gripe is their "pen" lasers could be better, and I probably won't buy that type of laser from them again. The other companies listed in this thread are also a good start.

Some cheaper products aren't necessarily trash as long as you know what to expect from them. I have three of the "new wish" style laser pens that I was generously given for free, all work well (the greens probably emit a fair bit of IR) and are great for using when I don't want to put my expensive lasers in danger (of damage or confiscation, ie shining into the sky and being seen).

I HIGHLY recommend buying from laserbtb I bought my 445 @ 750mW for 85 bucks and it was shipped and arrived in less than a week to Florida! I also had a funny story today. According to their website my status said "processing usually takes 3-4 days." But it had almost been a week so I contacted them last night at about 11 PM and went to bed. I woke up this morning with an email from them, very fast and that's a great thing in a company. The email gave me a tracking code, and I replied with many thanks. Turns out, my laser was IN my city! They didn't update my order on their website but it was here regardless. It turns out it had been delivered and I missed FedEx :(. I called FedEx up and the truck just missed me so he came back and I got my laser! Really satisfied with it, would buy from them again!
