Searching for finned heat sinks that hold a 12mm module. (Roughly 1x1in) For this next build I will be using a fan to cool the diode(s). Rectangular would be easier to orientate and aluminum or copper is acceptable.
Is there a place to buy this stuff?
Do any of you machinists make them out of copper?

Thanks
Jefferson.

Thank you hakzaw1. I did a brief search but found most were round and modified for a driver or host. I'm familiar with Aixiz heat sink I will check out tech hoods stuff.
Ill search around some more and Mrcrouse has done great work for me in the past.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction, the size and shape are particular so that's why I decided to post a thread. Ill look at what I have for options.

Yeah Mike & his dad do great work and you cant beat their prices- i have one of the fat HSs that he made some fins in it for me-= when they are that big i dont think it matters if its copper or Al.. one sucks the heat away faster the other cools down quicker- its a cointoss IMO ...but copper is not as forgiving nor as cheap

I just received the Mrcrouse Heat sink last week, and it a great item. I did pay extra for fins, and the base plate.

go with crouse, i have 3 of his square block heatsinks, the coolest thing is you can thermal epoxy your driver to the block as well. i was running an m140 @ 1.8A in one of these and the output was stable as a table :p
